Los Angeles May 20 –Remnants of a dinosaur that may upset by millions of years present theories of scientists on the antiquity of man were discovered by the Doheny expedition in the Hava Supai Canyon in northern Arizona.
The expedition headed by Samuel Hubbard, curator of archaeology at the Oakland Museum and financed by F.L. Doheny, oil magnate returned to Los Angeles recently after six months of research and exploration for traces of prehistoric man on the North American continent.

Discovery of a dinosaur pictograph cut into the wall of the famous canyon reveals, according to Hubbard that man is probably millions of years older than scientists have heretofore admitted.
The pictograph shows a dinosaur balanced on its tail, indicating the prehistoric artist saw it alive. The execution according to Hubbard shows that the artist had an eye to form, color and proportion, that he used tools and lived millions of years after the so-called ape-man period.

Before this find of the Doheny expedition scientists were of one mind in the belief that dinosaurs were extinct 2 million years before man appeared on earth. Footprints of dinosaurs were also uncovered by the expedition in “Painted Desert” 100 miles distance from the canyon.

Hubbard in an official report on the expedition said:

But two conclusions can be drawn from the dinosaur pictograph, either man goes back in the geological time to Triassic period which is millions of years before anything yet admitted or else they were left over dinosaurs which came down to the age of mammals Yet even that last conclusion vast antiquity.

A reproduction of an elephant attacking a man was found on the same wall with a dinosaur pictograph. This find, said Hubbard completely establishes the contention of Dr. Frederick a Lucas director of the American Museum of Natural History that man and elephants were coeval in America.

Ibex were also found pictured on the wall of the canyon said the curator. The figures were artistically executed and one panel shows several hunters driving 7 Ibexes and two deer into a trap, though no Ibex even fossil ones have ever been found in America.

The expedition which made the historic finds included besides Hubbard, Clarence W Gilmore, curator of vertebrate paleontology of the United States National Museum, Robert L.
